Months of hard work finally pay off with our first ticketing kiosk deployment in Macau. Liverton successfully delivered and deployed its first set of SmartTicket kiosks for Chinese client Cotai Water Jet in Hong Kong and Macao, allowing a self-service option for travelers to purchase ferry tickets prior to arriving at the Ferry terminal.

Johnny Minty and Richard Bourne, our Senior Technical Lead and Chief Technical Officer managed and led the deployment, and the kiosks were installed at several luxury hotels to allow guests to pre-purchase ferry tickets while at their hotel, saving significant time at the terminal. The kiosks were installed into the 3000 room property Venetian Macau, new luxury hotel the Parisian, Four Seasons and Sands Cotai Central.
The automated kiosks utilise Liverton’s innovative SmartTicket software, able to streamline and retrieve bookings, as well as integrate with a number of ticketing and reward platforms. In addition, the software integrates a number of new and emerging technology features including utilising WePay, Alipay, QR code and reward system integration. Users can select from all available destinations and timings, as well as seating and add-on options such as on-board meals. Cotai Water Jet also chose to include the optional secondary screen that will display current promotions and specials available.
Cotai Water Jet is the premier high-speed ferry service between Hong Kong and Macao, with over 52 million passengers over the past 10 years.
